Bio:
Daniel LaMagna is the Owner, President and General Manager of the North East PA Miners Football and Sports Entertainment organization. Dan stepped down as Head Coach after two winning seasons to expand business operations so the Miners can continue towards national prominance on the field while continuing to serve the local community. He is returning to the Head Coaching position this seasin with Jason Muskey as Co-Owner holding down business operations in season. Dan has won various awards and certificates including Small Business Spotlight and Young Entrepreneur honorable mention and is most proud of the NEPA miners winning 2007 Best New Team on the East Coast by Minor League Football news.
Daniel LaMagna completed an undefeated regular season winning the North Eastern Football Conference and Valley of the Sun Bowl Championship as part of the Lackawanna College football staff in 2006. He handled the Falcon offensive backfield that led the conference in rushing. He has held head coaching and offensive coordinator positions with three minor league teams as well as assistant coaching positions at the High School, college and Semi-Pro Level.
Dan is a 1995 graduate of Lakeland High School where he led the football team in all receiving categories. Dan also participated in football at East Stroudsburg University, where he graduated in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies and received a Masters of Science in Sport Management in 2007. Coach LaMagna also played minor league football for several seasons while attending tryouts in the Arena and Canadian football leagues. Dan is a resident of Scranton, PA with his wife Michele and is employed by Lackawanna College as Career Coordinator and is an Independent representative for ACN. Mr. LaMagna is a member of the Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce, POWER, and several community groups including Chairman of the newly formed NEPA Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
