Coach Scott is a versatile and unselfish Coach having coached both sides of the ball and wherever the team has needed him. Scott played offensive and defensive line along with special teams for the Scranton Eagles during the eighties and early nineties when they won five national titles.   Scott was a player/coach for the Eagles in the late nineties before hanging up the cleats and joining the Riverside Vikings staff as an assistant. Scott also coached Spring Football at Lackawanna College. This season Coach Carey will switch over and coordinate the defensive side of the ball. Scott is a life long resident of Old Forge and resides with his girlfriend Ellen and four children, Ashley, Scottie, Bethany and Sierra.  Along with his passion for football, Scott works for Cook’s Wholesale foods and is an avid hunter, fisherman and little league baseball coach.  Scott’s championship experience will hopefully carry over to the Miners in his fourth year as a Miners coach.
