Minor League Football in NEPA

Posted on Friday, February 29, 2008
March has arrived and it is time to start talking Minor League Football. The NEPA Miners are excited to entertain our fans on and off the field in 2008. This may be the best football product that this level of football has seen in NEPA since the seventies and eighties. North Eastern Pennsylvania is a huge football and minor league sports area. Semi-Pro football has declined in recent years and that is why the Miners organization markets itself as minor league. "We are doing things at this level of football that are rarely done, "stated team President and Head Coach Dan LaMagna. The Miners provide the most affordable night of family entertainment in our area and will be entertaining all over NEPA in the upcoming months. Their coaches just completed two weeks of coaching clinics as they offer athletes trying to play ball after high school and college the best football experience in the area. The Miners offer a practice simulated like a Division I practice, on field equipment, area business discounts, employment opportunities and the opportunity to advance to higher levels. The team will be highlighting defensive standout Malcolm Singleton and their newest Miner Girl Tiffany Fasulo at the Steamtown...

NEPA Miners UPDATE

Posted on Sunday, February 24, 2008
The month of February is winding down and the coaches have one more coaching clinic to attend before March arrives and the player meetings will begin. Our coaches are optimistic with the influx of new talent coming in to help build on the team's inaugural 8-4 season and take the team to the next level. The team will have to replace Left Tackle Sean Hill as he was assigned to the Wilkes Barre-Scranton Pioneers camp and O-Line Coach Billy Eynon who has moved away.  So far this off season, the Miners have brought on board a new O-Line coach and Assistant Offensive Coordinator, Rick "Bubba" Wright to shore up the staff along with many bright prospects signed up to play for the team. The Miners also expect big seasons from returning veterans such as Malcolm Singleton, Damon Saxon and Jovan Garcia who have set their goals high for 2008.  Wide Receiver Matt Pfancook is rehabbing a late season injury and working hard to return to action and build on a stellar rookie season.  The team is still waiting for Donnie Jackson-Bey, J.P. Antosh and their Binghamton Crew to arrive at camp and help the Miners in their quest for a national...
