The NEPA Miners will be holding a team meeting mandatory for all returning members and also for all interested members. The meeting is Wednesday February 13th at the Scranton Hilton Hotel & Convention Center starting at 6pm and running until our 7pm Booster Club meeting. We will be reviewing our next tryout/combine, off-season practice & events schedule, changes for the 2008 season and more.  Please be on time as another meeting follows ours.  Consider this the start of the season and we look forward to seeing you at the Hilton. Miners Girls Tryout Emcee Kristen Brooks The NEPA Miner’s Entertainment Team will be holding tryouts for the 2008 season squad on Saturday, January 26th at the Mall at Steamtown in Scranton, PA. This is a chance for any one interested in the opportunity to perform in front of thousands of fans and represent the Miners at community events throughout the year! All candidates must be 18 years of age and must be a high school graduate at the minimum. The 2008 Team will be directed by Amber Docherty. Amber has years of experience in cheerleading and is excited to be part of the NEPA Miner’s management team. Judging at the tryouts will be based on talent, personality, appearance, professionalism and spirit. Judges will be area business owners and representatives. The NEPA Miners completed an impressive 8-4 inaugural season through the hard work of players, coaches and management to lay the foundation for 2008. The NEPA Miners look to recognize this hard work at their 1st Annual NEPA Miners Awards Dinner on Friday, November 30th from 6-11PM at the Regal Room in Olyphant. The night will consist of a buffet, live band, 2007 Award Ceremony, raffles and more! The NEPA Miners will be kicking off their 2008 season with a Buffet Dinner and Silent Auction followed by music and dancing at the Regal Room in Olyphant on Saturday, March 8 from 6 PM until 11 PM. The North East Pennsylvania (NEPA) Miners are a minor league football team organized in 2006 bringing a first of its kind football team to the area. The Miners play in the Regional American Football League (RAFL) with home games at Scranton Memorial Stadium. The Miners' goal is to serve the area with year round community service while providing superior customer service and quality entertainment on Saturday nights during our football season.
