The North East Pennsylvania (NEPA) Miners are a minor league football team organized in 2006 bringing a first of its kind football team to the area. The Miners play in the Regional American Football League (RAFL) with home games at Scranton Memorial Stadium. The Miners' goal is to serve the area with year round community service while providing superior customer service and quality entertainment on Saturday nights during our football season. The NEPA Miners completed an impressive 8-4 inaugural season through the hard work of players, coaches and support from the entertainment team.
The NEPA Miners provide not only some of the best football games but sports a quality entertainment team. The players and dancers are very active in community service for our area. Our aim is to not just to improve football and sports in the area but also to help support many causes and organizations within the community. We participate in efforts to raise funds for local charities where the needs touch those we serve. Join the NEPA Miners Friday January 18th for a night of fun and food. The Miners will be having a fundraiser at Chicago UNO Grill in Dickson City. A portion of the proceeds from the night will be donated to the Miners to send our coaches to various coaching clinics throughout the region. Our coaches work hard all year round to help put the best football team on the field. All you have to do is come and have a meal or a few drinks and make sure you get your receipt stamped with the Miners certificate, which will be available at the restaurant. NEPA Miners members will be at UNO Grill from about 4:30 until the last person leaves and Chicago UNO Grill employees will be sporting the NEPA Miners Jerseys. 3rd Annual Charlie Wysocki Night Out
To benefit People with Bi-Polar Disorder!
Come join us for dinner after a day of shopping. The NEPA Miners, Ultrasonic Sports, Rider World and the Lone Star in Wilkes-Barre present the 3rd Annual Charlie Wysocki Night Out to benefit people with Bi-Polar Disorder. The Lone Star will have dinner and happy hour specials from 5-10PM. A Grand Prize of a 2007 Honda Recon from Riders World will be raffled off along with a $250 second prize and $100 third prize. $3 raffle tickets are still available! Come meet former Wilkes-Barre Myers/University of Maryland athlete Charlie Wysocki and support awareness of bi-polar disorder as Charlie is starting a foundation to help others with this disease. Donations are also welcome to benefit Charlie and his foundation. Charlie currently coaches for the Miners and resides in Carbondale.

Please come and support the American Cancer Society and NEPA Miners Football Team at "American Cancer Society Night." The NEPA Miners will be taking on the Central Penn Piranha this Saturday, August 25th. This is a huge rivalry game for the new team. The NEPA Miners are a local minor league football team in the area and a supporter of the American Cancer Society.
Kick off is at 7pm and the game will include a survivors recogntion ceremony and several other fun activities. Please come out and support the Miners and the American Cancer Society. Tickets can be purchased at Lake Lehman's stadium for $8. Directions are included.
