Mike Woodard will bring his coaching and playing experience to the NEPA Miners. Mike takes pride in fundamentals and will lead the Special Teams units along with assisting in other areas of the offense. Mike is the elder member of the staff born in Beacon New York in 1957.
Mike played for Germania Junior College in the late seventies while attending the Miami Dolphins camp in the late nineties. Most recently Mike played for the Scranton Eagles in 2001-2002, was a player/coach 2003-2004 and the Head Coach of the Scranton Eagles for the 2005-2006 seasons.
Mike’s experience and positive outlook is an asset to the NEPA Miners.

Rick Wright is an insurance agent by day and a motivating coach at night. He operates his State Farm Insurance office in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. for the past 21 years. He is a graduate of G.A.R. High School where he was a stand out offensive and defensive linemen and basketball player. He attended Millersville State College where he was a stand out defensive linemen and won a league championship. He also had a try out with the Dallas Cowboys. He has many community ties but he is most proud of being a co-founding member of Northeast Network Inc. which is a community based organization that works with kids and adults.
He brings twelve years of coaching experience as a coordinator & above on both sides of the ball from midget football to semi-pro ball. 1979 to 1982 he was the Freshman Head Football Coach & Defensive Coordinator at Millersville State Collage. In three years had 11 shut outs and average less then 7 points per game; while averaging 17 points per game on offensive and amassed a record of 16 and 3. 1991 to 1993 he coached Mini Football for the Hanover and Heights Packers. 2000 he coach with the Wilkes-Barre Blaze a semi-pro team. For the past six years he was the Defensive Coordinator at Northwest H.S. where he took the team form the being the door mat of their opponents to league Champs. The ranking of his defensive team for the past six years was 10th,in 2002; 7th, in 2003; 6nd, in 2003, 4th, in 2004; 6th, in 2005; 1st, in 2006; 1st, in 2007. During this period he has coached offensive and defensive line, running backs, quarterbacks, as well as line backers. The Miners welcome Coach Wright to Minor League Football in NEPA!
A major presence in this organization will be Charlie Wysocki. Charlie is a local celebrity athlete from the area who will share his incredible story with our fans.  Mr. Wysocki was an All-State football player and wrestler at Wilkes-Barre Myers. Charlie is the second all-time leading rusher at the University of Maryland and attended the Dallas Cowboys camp before being struck with a career ending illness. Charlie has been featured in many stories locally and nationally and a book on his story is in the works. Charlie wants to help others through his foundation and more information can be found at www.charliewysocki.com Charlie enters his fourth season as Quality Control Coach with Coach LaMagna and resides in Carbondale, PA.

On August 22-24, 2004, the Wilkes-Barre Times-Leader newspaper presented a three-part series on NAMI PA Scranton member Charlie Wysocki. Times-Leader writer, Joe Petrucci wrote an in-depth series of articles on Charlie’s life beginning with his high school sports career; his being adopted by the Wysocki family; his outstanding football career at the University of Maryland and his experiences dealing with a very severe case of bipolar disorder.
