Our hometown team will be keeping their bags packed for two weeks as the NEPA Miners will be leaving Scranton and on their way to the Bronx this Saturday. The Miners will be departing Saturday morning for a 2:30PM kickoff versus the Empire State Titans. Both teams are fighting their way back to first place in their respective divisions as they approach this weeks showdown. The Miners are 3-1-1 overall, 2-1-1 in RAFL play. The team has faced plenty of adversity early in the season with injuries, players comings and goings and some transition in the coaching staff. Despite all this, the Miners are in good position and are more determined than ever as the ball club keeps growing closer through adversity. The Empire State Titans are coming off of a bye week while the Miners won a thriller versus the New Jersey Warriors led by a strong defensive performance and a clutch Miners drive with less than a minute remaining. Keep up the hard work Miners! "The spirit, the will to win, and the will to excel are the things that endure. These qualities are so much more important than the events that occur," Vince Lombardi.
