Miners Recruiting Local Talent
The NEPA Miners Football and Entertainment Team are recruiting new talent from the Scranton, Wilkes-Barre and the surrounding areas. A picture similar to the one attached with this article can be found inside the Steamtown Mall in Scranton as four signs are distributed throughout the Mall. The Miners organization also is advertising in the Electric City Newspaper and team president Dan LaMagna recently had speaking engagements recruiting for the 2008 NEPA Miners. The future looks bright for a team coming off an 8-4 season with many new recruits in camp but the competition has also picked up with the new move to the Regional American Football League (RAFL). The Miners coaching staff will be recruiting heavy for the next month but are able to sign players up until the 6th week of the regular season. Behind every good man is a great woman and the Miners Girls Entertainment team is recruiting as well. With many of the girls helping last years coach and intern Angela Scrobek, many girls are still needed for 2008. The Miners will be having there next tryout May 31st as part of the 2nd Annual Charlie Wysocki Camp. For more information on trying out and joining either team, please contact Miners team management or coaches via the online contact form. The NEPA Miners look forward to giving our fans of North Eastern Pennsylvania an affordable night of family entertainment and action packed football starting July 12th at Scranton Memorial Stadium versus the Hudson Valley Cowboys. Tickets are now available online.
