The NEPA Miners is a family run business owned and operated by Dan and Michele LaMagna. The NEPA Miners family consists of over 70 volunteers made up of management, coaches, players, cheerleaders, booster club members and interns.

They work daily to improve the sport of minor league football in northeastern Pennsylvania. It is their goal to allow players to develop their skills to advance to the next level for the love of the game.

The NEPA Miners Football & Entertainment organization is proud to serve northeastern Pennsylvania with year round community service while providing quality entertainment during their football season.

To show their commitment to the community, the NEPA Miners have sponsored the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, supported the Charlie Wysocki Foundation to raise awareness of mental illnesses, co-sponsored a Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce Business Card Exchange and hosted the only professional tryout in Pennsylvania. The NEPA Miners have also recently formed a Booster Club to strengthen their presence in the community.

“We want to continue to establish strong roots in our local community”, states Mr. LaMagna. “It is our goal to develop our players’ skills while providing quality entertainment and community service for our area.”

Minor League Football News chose the NEPA Miners as the “Best New Team” on the east coast in 2007. The Miners enjoyed another winning season and a fun 2008 “Football for the Fans” campaign where the Miners offered many nights full of family entertainment.

Congrats to the entire NEPA Miners organization and their efforts for making this award possible.
