The NEPA Miners are getting ready for two weeks of coaching clinics starting this weekend in Allentown. The 2008 NIKE Coach of the Year Clinics will feature the nations top college football coaches speaking at 19 sites in every corner of the nation. These clinics, founded by legendary coaches Bud Wilkinson and Duffy Daugherty more than 30 years ago, are "state of the art" events featuring 73 Division 1A college head coaches on the NIKE staff. You will not want to miss these clinics on an annual basis as you pickup techniques, philosophy, pointers and strategy from the most respected men in there field. Last year, almost 13,000 high school coaches attended the 20 clinics in 2007, offering you a great opportunity to share ideas at the clinic social events with your coaching peers.
Many clinics include special lectures for youth league coaches. Most also include demonstration periods on technique and drills and breakout rooms for post-lecture 1-on-1 sessions with principal speakers. Some clinics even feature entire major college staffs available for questions and answers. Several clinics have sessions exclusively for youth football coaches. The clinics have many other fine features including a NIKE football portfolio for all registered coaches, evening entertainment and hospitality, and excellent clinic notes and audio visual aids. The following weekend the Miners staff will be attending the 30th annual Coaches Clinic International at the Scranton Hilton Hotel and Convention Center. The NEPA Miners want to provide their players with the most quality instruction and coaching in the nation and are committed to doing so.

The North East Pennsylvania (NEPA) Miners are a minor league football team bringing a first of its kind football league to North Eastern Pennsylvania that will set the Miners apart from their competitors. While the Miners represent all of North East Pennsylvania, their basis of operations is the Poconos, encompassing the areas of Wilkes-Barre and Scranton. The Miners play in the Regional Atlantic Football League (RAFL) with home games at the area’s finest facilities.
