Scranton PA; Today the Regional American Football League announced its Championship stadium for Atlantic Bowl II on November 1st, 2008. The Game will be played at the beautiful Scranton Memorial Stadium in Scranton Pennsylvania with a scheduled kick off of 7pm. Memorial Stadium is the home of the RAFL’s NEPA Miners, and is fully facilitated including press and luxury boxes. “It’s a beautiful facility and we are proud that Dan LaMagna (owner of the NEPA Miners) was able to help us secure it for the second annual Atlantic Bowl” stated RAFL Commissioner Adam Turkel.When the Miners staff gave Turkel a tour of the facility he was completely sold. “We’re proud to have this event in Scranton, and think it will be a great thing for both the RAFL and the city.” stated Coach LaMagna. He continued, “When Turk (Commissioner Turkel) brought up the idea, we thought it would be ideal with all the football tradition in Scranton to continue to help Minor League Football grow in this area back to where it was years ago.”
“We are going to promote this event and make it a fun thing for the city of Scranton “stated RAFL President Charles McGill. He continued “We intend to have ticket give-aways to local youth organizations, and schools as well as discounted pre paid tickets with early purchases online”.
Tickets will go on sale on the RAFL website at www.rafl.net on September 1st and will be able to be purchased online via PayPal.
